Fine Showing at end of season Sicily Time Trial Championship

Team Greens had a tremendous end of season showing in Sicily Time Trial Championships

2011 Time Trial Champion Etienne Bonello clocked the second fastest time of the day covering the 10km distance in 13:22 and clinching first place in his Category. Jason Vella and runner up time trial champion won his age group category and 5th place overall in 13:35. Gerard Said finished second in his age goup behind Vella and eight overall in 13:56. Marie Claire Aquilina finished second in the ladies category in 16:05. Joseph Bonello recorded a seventh place in his category in 14:22.

Team Greens in third place in Villasmundo

Team Greens trio Jason Vella, Gerard Said and Etienne Bonello participated in the Tropheo San Michele road race held last Sunday in the suburban village of Villasmundo.
The 25 lap city center circuit saw some fearce racing and and technical riding as expected from this kind of tight circuit race.
The event was part of Sicily road race championship and it attracted some of the top riders on the island .
The Greens trio figured well as they finish in third place in the team classification with Bonello also clinching a fourth place in his category.
Team Greens will finish off this year’s international commitments at the Sicilian time trial Championships in mid October.

Team Greens presents new kit and sponsors for Tour ta’Malta


During a club presentation Team Greens unveiled the new team kit which will used for the upcoming Tour ta’ Malta.

The kit which was designed and manufactured in Italy will show also the new clubs sponsors which include title sponsor Greens Supermarket, BBB bike parts, Garmin, Powerade, Barilla, Golden Harvest and Altasfera. The competing riders will be equipped with full racing and training gear for both cold and warm weather conditions including helmets and sportsglasses from Dutch company BBB bike parts. In a comment club president Mr Charles Sammut said that with these new sponsorship deals the club will push further the boundaries of local cycling in both sporting and administrative levels. We have entered in a new era and hope to improve on what we have already achieved. Team Greens remains dedicated to local cycling and to the development of its riders assisting them in both local and international competitions. The backing of these new sponsors is a vote of confidence in our structure which augurs well for the future of the club. Team Greens has so far been on top of local elite races and is entering the Tour of Malta with the following roster :
